Committees

Committees were established to align with the goals of the Strategic Plan approved by the board at its July 2009 meeting. Team members are encouraged to join one or more of the committees essential to moving the team forward on our journey to raise awareness of the quality of life after treatment and to educate residents in the Capital Region with our message of support, hope, vitality, encouragement and knowledge that women can survive breast cancer and go on to lead full, healthy, happy lives.

• Membership
  chaired by Lucille Allegretti-Freeman and Barbara Neiman, is charged with developing a program to expand, retain, and support HITB membership.
• Finances and Fund Raising
  chaired by Anita Cartin, is charged with establishing an organization that is fiscally sound, with the capacity to expand programs as needed.
• Marketing
  is charged with creating and implementing a marketing plan that will help the organization meet its stated goals.
• The Dragon Boat(s)
  chaired by Robin Smith, is charged with developing a program to manage and maintain the organization's physical assets.
• Public Events and Partnerships
  chaired by Julie Daniels and Rosalind Thomas, is charged with developing partnerships and public events with other organizations to advance the team's mission and vision for the benefit of all partners.
